The meeting focussed on the use of probability and statistics for applications in weather and climate including, climate prediction, paleoclimate and extreme events. Specialists with varying backgrounds and view points were brought together from meteorology, physical modelling, geostatistics or of probabilistic/statistical nature.

This was a joint event with the General Applications Section and the Reading Local Group.
